Completed thanks to generous donor
Donations received on the occasion of the 50th birthday of one of our founding members.
In October 2022, Ruban Harikantha, one of our founding members, did not want any gifts from his guests at his 50th birthday party. He asked those who still wanted to give something to donate to the Carez Foundation's sanitation project at the school in Goudem. This made it possible to realise the sanitary facilities. A big thank you goes to all the guests who donated.
His business partner Werner Wirsing took this as an opportunity to initiate an additional project with Ruban Harikantha, which was to be financed by a separate donation from their joint company Specialglass Associates GmbH & Co. KG was to be financed. In this context, Oumar Gueye reported on the urgently needed fencing of the school grounds, which are currently accessible to everyone. In addition, the classrooms should also undergo renovation.
After presenting a cost estimate of 6830.00 Euros, they decided to cover the full cost of these two projects. In mid-December, Oumar Gueye was able to initiate and accompany the construction measures on site himself.
